New UNACEM support for national sports

Cemento Andino becomes official sponsor of the ADT Menores sports club

  • The agreement with ADT Menores will allow the club to hire qualified technical staff, optimize pitches specifically for training, facilitate the conditions for taking part in the tournaments scheduled for 2022, and more.
  • This support is in addition to other UNACEM initiatives over more than 15 years to promote sports, an outstanding example of which is the formation of the Team UNACEM young athletes in 2019.

Tarma, June 1, 2022. In a new commitment to promoting sports among Peruvian youth, UNACEM’s emblematic brand Cemento Andino sponsors the youth division of Asociación Deportivo Tarma (ADT Menores) helping it to strengthen its competitive skills and facilitate the development of its young players.

Cemento Andino’s sponsorship will allow the club to hire licensed coaching staff, optimize pitches exclusively for training ADT’s Reserve and Junior Divisions, and increase recruitment of talent for the year’s tournaments.

“This support by Cemento Andino will serve as a boost and inspiration to the children who make up the ADT Menores, helping them to triumph, persist in the face of any obstacle and forge their sports career with leadership, continual learning, commitment and teamwork,” concluded xxxx representative of ADT

UNACEM representative Claudia Rivero emphasized that the company has historical links with Tarma “This support is especially relevant for us because the team has deep traditional roots in Tarma, an area with whose people we have a historical bond, given that one of our plants has been operating there for more than 60 years, originally as Cemento Andino”.

It should be noted that UNACEM recognizes ADT’s commitment to training young athletes, an objective with which the company identifies and which it wishes to strengthen in a year of great achievements for the club, such as the recent promotion of its senior team to the first division of the Peruvian league.

Ms Rivero also emphasized that this decision is in addition to other initiatives that UNACEM has been promoting for more than 15 years to support adult, youth and children’s athletics, both professional and amateur. “That is true, for example, of Team UNACEM, young athletes from different disciplines of which Kimberly García is part and which the company has supported since 2019 in achieving their dream of becoming a benchmark and inspiration for Peruvian youth,” she added.
