“Protecting Sol’s Future,” Tik Tok’s series promoting safe construction
- This new UNACEM and Cemento Sol production follows the successful short film “Protegiendo los Sueños de Sol”, which has already been seen by more than 6 million people in 36 countries.
- The first two episodes of the series will premiere on the popular social network this Monday, May 27. Thereafter, one episode will be released each week.
Lima, May 2024.- The success of the animated short film “Protegiendo los sueños de Sol”, released in 2023, has crossed borders, reaching more than 36 countries with its message about the 8 steps of safe construction. Due to a great reception from the public, the story of little Sol Segura will be transferred to the popular platform Tik Tok, this time as an animated series of eight episodes.
“Protecting Sol’s Future” is the sequel to the successful animated short film that trended on social media and generated many positive reviews from influencers around the world. This time, Sol Segura, the brave girl who won everyone’s heart for teaching the importance of prevention and planning when building, will have new adventures with her family and meet new characters in a story that promises many twists and surprises.
“UNACEM is proud to continue promoting good construction practices and to awaken the interest of the new generations, who make up the foundations of the country and will become the builders of tomorrow. This new series, made exclusively for Tik Tok, marks a milestone for the company, as it makes us pioneers in this category in the Peruvian market. The eight-part series takes us to a Lima of the future, where we can see the results of following Cemento Sol’s 8 steps of safe construction. However, the plot will contain some interesting twists, with a hearty dose of humor, action and drama. Each episode of the series lasts approximately one to two minutes. The first two will be released this Monday, May 27th on Cemento Sol’s official Tik Tok account (@cementosoloficial). Thereafter, one episode will be released each week.
“We chose Tik Tok because it is an agile, innovative and disruptive format, and because it allows us to better approach children, who are the target audience of the series. We want the public to have fun, learn and share as a family with the new adventures of Sol Segura and her family. For us it is extremely important that we continue to support initiatives that raise awareness among young people, so that they understand the importance of good construction, as Sol Segura did with her dog shelter,” Gabriel Barrio concludes.
For several years, UNACEM has been working through its Cemento Sol brand, on various initiatives aimed at children, adolescents, and adults to raise awareness of the importance of safe construction. Two of them, “Protect what you build” and “The 8 steps of safe construction”, promote good construction through training and talks on the importance of ensuring safety in Peruvian homes. Cemento Sol also supports Peruvian women’s soccer through Team Sol and as official sponsors of the women’s league Liga Femenina Apuesta Total.
