On its tenth anniversary, UNACEM renews its brand image with the campaign “Co-construyendo Perú”
Lima, October 2022.- As part of its 10th anniversary, cement manufacturer UNACEM – Unión Andina de Cementos – is renewing brand image, seeking to convey its essence, origin, and commitment to union and sustainable construction. The renewed image includes a change of logo, accompanied by a new symbol: the letter “U”, representing its essence and origin, a quarry seen from space, lines suggesting the buildings, development and progress that UNACEM pursues.
Ten years after its creation with the merger of Cemento Andino and Cemento Lima, UNACEM’s renewal is being carried out through the ‘Building Peru Together’ campaign’. It invites all Peruvians to reflect on the importance of staying united and growing as a country, something that UNACEM encapsulates in its corporate purpose: “united we grow to build a sustainable world”.
Likewise, ‘Building Peru Together’ seeks to strengthen UNACEM’s brand awareness and to transmit its essence, origin and commitment to union and sustainable construction. The campaign aims to share stories of Peruvians whose hard work has contributed to building our nation.
This proposal is based on the trajectory of UNACEM and its role in infrastructure construction in a mega-diverse country like Peru, which requires unity to build a sustainable future.
“Construction is what we at UNACEM do in tangible form, but what we ultimately achieve is bringing people together: from communities, when building a bridge, to families when building a house. With this campaign and the launch of our new image, we seek to make inroads into new communications, co-building because although its infrastructure is built with cement it is only possible to build a country together”, said Gabriel Barrio, UNACEM’s deputy marketing manager.
UNACEM thus reaffirms its purpose and commitment to deepen its value proposition, focusing on improving people’s lives and working together with talent and knowledge to achieve this. This is reflected in the company’s leadership of the sector today, in its quality products such as Cemento Andino, Cemento Sol and Cemento Apu, and in its legacy in the construction of emblematic infrastructure works such as the Vía Expresa, the National Stadium, Plaza San Martín, the Hotel Bolívar, the San Felipe condominium and others.
UNACEM, as a specialized cement manufacturer within the UNACEM Group, also renews its commitment to promote a solid and sustainable construction industry that respects the environment and the quality of life of all Peruvians. In addition, as the first cement company in Peru to receive a first level Carbon Footprint, it remains committed to being a carbon neutral company by 2050.
