Team Sol: Cemento Sol renews its commitment to women’s soccer
- The brand maintains its commitment to sportswomen Adriana Lúcar of Alianza Lima, and Xioczana Canales and Alondra Vilchez of Universitario de Deportes.
Lima, February 2024.- Cemento Sol, UNACEM’s emblematic brand, renewed its commitment to women’s soccer through “Team Sol”, made up of high-performance national athletes Adriana Lúcar, Alondra Vílchez and Xioczana Canales, who represent our country continually, and especially future generations of girls and women who dream of promoting women in this sport.
Cemento Sol, the first brand in the sector to sponsor women soccer players, renews its commitment with the aim of highlighting the sport and the sense of belonging that can be achieved among the various teams.
In 2023, Cemento Sol encouraged more fans to go to matches, joining forces to achieve the record for the largest attendance at a women’s soccer match in Latin America. More than 42,000 fans cheered on the teams of Xioczana Canales and Adriana Lúcar, who played in the final between Universitario de Deportes and Alianza Lima. This classic was a milestone for them, representing the importance of how, despite being on opposing teams, perseverance and professional growth build unity and continue making female athletes visible.

During 2024, the brand will continue to support Team Sol through various projects, such as soccer clinics, visits to the stadium to watch the games, meetings with players and other actions to be communicated through social networks. Team Sol will thus continue to make national soccer history, supporting athletes who belonging to the finalists in the FPF Women’s League and, at the same time, promoting the links and integration between female soccer players, motivating future generations to take up this sport.
